Challenge
The City of Norwalk wanted to establish a vision and comprehensive approach to enhancing biking in Norwalk and close the gaps in their bike network.
Solution
Kittelson developed a Bicycle Master Plan for the City of Norwalk. The project included substantial public outreach efforts, including coordination with a Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) and several community workshops. Kittelson led the existing conditions analysis and conducted an inventory of existing facilities, opportunities, and constraints in and around the city, and prepared a community outreach plan.
The Outcome
Pedaling Toward a Better Bike Future
The Bicycle Master Plan will improve biking throughout the city, supporting healthy living, transit connections, and the ability to travel without a car.
