For the past 30 years, Wende has been collaborating with state departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, local governments, non-profits, and private developers to deliver multi-modal transportation and land use projects across the nation. She has had the privilege of assisting clients with research and policy development for emerging technology, including driverless ride hails and electric vehicle charging, vision zero safety plans, corridor resiliency plans, long-range plans, roadway and intersection improvement projects, and IIJA grant writing. Interwoven throughout her daily work is a commitment to meaningful stakeholder engagement through the lens of equity.  As a member of the Northwest leadership team, Wende also helps promote a culture of innovation to transform ideas into services that benefit communities and the growth of future industry leaders.

Little known facts about Wende are that she is a certified K-3 Montessori teacher, served two years in the Peace Corps in Chad, Africa, and grew up on a ranch in Spokane, WA. In her free time, she loves to travel, hike, read, and break bread with friends.
