With more than 20 years of experience as a multimodal transportation planner, Vamshi balances planning, out-of-the-box ideas, engineering, GIS, and technical know-how to create transportation improvement solutions that work. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering but discovered early in his career that transportation planning was a natural fit and where he most wanted to focus his technical training. Vamshi’s experience includes managing local, regional, and corridor multimodal transportation planning studies; travel demand modeling; non-motorized transportation plans, transit feasibility and implementation plans; traffic impact analyses, safety analyses and plans; stakeholder and community outreach and consensus building; and utilizing innovative GIS techniques to streamline data collection and analysis. When not in the office, Vamshi enjoys chasing his two kids, spending time with his wife, and watching movies and cricket.
