Sravya Kamalapuram

Transportation Analyst (she/her)

From working as an Assistant Professor teaching undergrads to being a Civil Services aspirant in India, Sravya’s path to Kittelson is rather unconventional. She recently graduated with a master’s degree in transportation technology and policy from the University of California, Davis. Her research interests include travel demand forecasting, first- and last-mile connections to transit, bicycle, and pedestrian planning, and safety analysis. As a graduate student researcher at UC Davis, she worked on building an “Active Transportation Benefit – Cost Tool” for Caltrans which involved estimating bicycle and pedestrian volumes on California’s road network using crowdsourced data from Strava. As a transportation analyst on Kittelson’s Oakland team, she is passionate about integrating data driven methodologies with transportation planning and policy to design multimodal, safe, and sustainable transportation systems. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, strength training, and hanging out with her friends and family.
