Samuel Parsons
Planner
Samuel approaches transportation projects with a passion for livable communities. With a civil engineering degree from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Clemson University, he brings a broad range of perspectives to his projects. He has served in local government both at the municipal and MPO levels where he gained an intimate understanding of the challenges facing public agencies in developing safe, equitable, and multimodal transportation networks. Samuel’s experience includes active transportation planning and design, traffic impact analysis, transit planning, long-range transportation planning, land use planning, spatial analysis, public engagement, and federal project programming.
Outside of work, Samuel can be found nose-deep in a history book, snow skiing, cooking in small kitchens, cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide, or exploring a new neighborhood by bike with his Cajun wife Toria.
