Nicholas Polenske
Senior Engineer (he/him)

Nick graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. While attending Portland State, Nick had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of downtown Portland transportation first hand while working as a valet attendant at a few different hotels.
Prior to Kittelson, Nick worked at another firm in the Portland area, focusing on public roadway design. With six years of experience, Nick has been involved in numerous large-scale design projects in the state of Oregon that focus on transportation, drainage, water quality, and bicycle/pedestrian improvements. Nick is also involved with APWA as the current Young Professionals chair and gave a presentation on pedestrian construction routing at the 2018 Fall APWA conference. Nick is a licensed engineer in both Oregon and Washington.
