Transportation Analyst

Luke’s passion for planning safe and sustainable transportation networks is informed by his experience working for both private agencies and research centers. Throughout graduate school he participated in safe systems research on the use of public space during COVID-19 as well as how to reframe roadway injuries as preventable rather than inevitable. Luke’s experience in solving transportation issues through a multidiscipline approach helps him to evaluate the unique challenges associated with every transportation project. Luke has a broad interest in transportation planning with experience in long-range transportation planning, corridor studies, bicycle and pedestrian plans, safety action plans, trail feasibility studies, and safety analysis. He uses his skillset in GIS, Adobe software, community engagement, and technical writing to contribute to Kittelson’s project teams. Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Studies and a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning—both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
