Laura Zhao, PhD
Senior Engineering Associate

Laura is a transportation analyst in Kittelson’s Reston office. Laura has contributed to a variety of projects around the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida area. Her work focus has included traffic operation analysis, microsimulation, operation of transit signal priority (TSP), and traffic safety. Prior to joining Kittelson, Laura served as a research assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno with the primary focus on traffic safety research. Through research and field experiences, Laura has gained a profound passion for creative and thoughtful transportation solutions that can be applied directly to real-world traffic problems.
Outside of work, Laura is an avid photographer, and enjoys reading and baking.
