Kolbe Stets

Kolbe grew up on the central coast of California and moved to San Diego in 2017. After college, he began building a robust background in GIS across various multidisciplinary teams, working with park rangers and biologists within the City of San Diego, planners and engineers within SANDAG, electric and gas analysts, water modeling specialists, and transportation and park planners. Throughout his GIS journey, Kolbe has fostered a passion for leveraging spatial analysis, data visualization, and cartographic design to optimize transportation networks, enhance route planning, improve infrastructure design, and promote innovation. When he’s not thinking about database design or color theory for transit lines, Kolbe loves to play tennis, cycle throughout the city, hike US national parks, surf any 3-foot wave he can find, and dabble in wood-fired pizzas.
