Karl has participated in and managed a variety of traffic engineering and transportation planning projects during the last ten years. Karl has served as the deputy project manager and assisted in the development and evaluation of concepts on several PD&E studies, including the Florida’s Turnpike/CR 470 Interchange Study, the LPGA Boulevard PD&E Study, and the Florida’s Turnpike/Commercial Boulevard Interchange Area PD&E Study (as a subconsultant). He also has participated in conceptual studies of SR 70 from the Florida’s Turnpike to I-95 and of the SR 714/76 intersection. For the Florida’s Turnpike/Commercial Boulevard Interchange Area PD&E Study and the SR 70 and SR 714/76 studies, access management, construction phasing, and the ability to analyze over-saturated conditions were important factors in selecting a preferred alternative. Karl also assists the Florida DOT in implementing its growth management policies and procedures.
