Kaitlyn Schaffer
Senior Engineer (She/Her)
Kaitlyn Schaffer is an urban explorer who enjoys walking through Baltimore’s many neighborhoods. Her curiosity about the urban environment led her to pursue both undergraduate and graduate civil engineering degrees from Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech, Kaitlyn was a graduate research assistant for the Urban Transportation Information Lab where she worked on various projects that intersected both transportation and public health interests. Prior to starting full-time at Kittelson, Kaitlyn was a summer intern in the Baltimore office and was recognized as one of the US Department of Transportation’s Outstanding Students of the Year for her graduate research. At Kittelson, Kaitlyn works on a variety of multimodal projects with a focus on active transportation. She loves commuting by foot to the office and hopes to create environments where people have healthy and happy commutes, too.
