Jia Fang, PhD
Planner

Jia Fang received her doctoral degree in urban and regional planning at the University of Florida. She also has a master’s degree in transportation engineering and GIS. Prior to joining Kittelson, Jia gained transit planning experience while working for the Regional Transit System in Gainesville. She also worked as a research assistant at the University of Florida and participated in several FDOT-funded projects with a focus on safety analysis. Her research interests include travel behavior analysis with machine learning, transit-oriented development, and integrated transportation and land use modelling. Jia is familiar with programming languages, such as python, JavaScript, R, and HTML. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with her 3-year-old daughter, baking, and painting.
