Jennifer Marks, PhD

Technical Writer (She/Her)

Jennifer specializes in writing reports and plans that transform complex engineering and planning concepts into ideas that are readily accessible to industry experts and the general public. Her university-level teaching experience helps her structure information so that it’s easy to understand for all types of audiences. She edits for economy, helping engineers and planners tell better stories with fewer words, and she leads publications from storyboard to final draft, working with Kittelson’s graphic designers, technical editors, planners, engineers, and clients to craft engaging and accessible products. Her interdisciplinary academic background in urban history, cultural studies, and art history helps Jennifer write text that complements report photographs, infographics, and maps. Outside of work, Jennifer can be found working on her novel, running, painting, and spending time at the barn with her horse, Ace.
