Principal Engineer
Felipe is a registered professional engineer with over 15 years of experience. He has attained a doctorate degree as well as a master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in traffic engineering and transportation planning. His project manager experience includes the Starr Pass Boulevard/Mission Road Multi-Modal Improvements project, which was the APWA State Project of the Year in 2012. Felipe has analyzed and prepared traffic engineering reports for more than 80 miles of interstate highways in Arizona. He has ample knowledge of traffic design, mulitmodal analysis and safety predicted methods. Felipe has performed extensive research on transportation safety, transit security, and signal coordination, which has led him to publish his work, present it in several conferences across the nation, and teach an advanced-level course at the University of Arizona. In 2016, Felipe received the D. Grant Mickle Award given by the Transportation Research Board (TRB) for an outstanding paper published in the field of operation, safety, and maintenance of transportation facilities.
