Benazir is a certified road safety professional and has participated in a variety of traffic operations, planning and safety engineering studies throughout the United States, with significant involvement in Florida projects while at Kittelson. Her experience includes the development of transit signal priority (TSP) plans, traffic operations analysis, road safety assessments, identification of safety and operational improvements, signing and paving improvements, transportation impact studies, and parking studies. Benazir has been able to further develop her traffic operations analysis skills using microsimulation over the course of different projects, including the environmental assessment documentation for the new Washington DC streetcar line. Benazir has also been involved in the update of several guidelines for the State of Florida, including the Manual of Uniform Traffic Studies (MUTS) and the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Manual.
