Between his parents never having driver’s licenses and growing up in downtown Toronto, Canada, Angelo grew up walking the talk. With 44 years of public and private sector service, Angelo understands the public’s needs. He has personally attended and/or chaired over 600 public meetings, working towards reaching consensus within communities and implementing lasting solutions. As a student of disruptive innovation at the University of Toronto, Angelo learned that Vision Zero is feasible and doable. During his tenure as the Traffic and Parking Operations Manager at the City of Lakeland, there was an almost 50 percent reduction in fatal and serious injury crashes from 2015-2020. Angelo is proud of this result and believes that saving lives is a function of the dedicated professionals who promote disruptive innovative change for the greater good. Angelo loves to cook, bike, kayak, and play the drums!
