Tony Roos

Tony is a civil engineer with 25 years of experience specializing in transportation projects. He has extensive experience integrating public involvement with design work. He brings proven project management experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical transportation solutions. His comprehensive understanding of all disciplines allows him to anticipate challenges and develop practical, realistic solutions that the community can understand, accept, and support. His project experience includes designing innovative intersections, road rehabilitations and Complete Street corridors. Tony started his career with Multnomah County and then Washington County in their respective Capital Projects groups, honing his skills as a public works professional. He served multiple positions on the Oregon APWA Board, finishing his 10-year tenure as Past President in 2022. He is also a past president of the Portland Post of the Society of American Military Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon (ACEC). At the national level he is an APWA Government Affairs ambassador and serves on the Steering Committee for the ACEC Transportation Committee.

Tony is also active in his community, serving on the Newberg Traffic Safety Commission, the Yamhill County Road Improvement Advisory Committee, and the Portland Archdiocese Building Committee. In his free time, Tony is a high school varsity football referee.
